Ticket Sales Intern - Stanford University Athletics (Stanford, CA)
About Stanford University Athletics: Stanford University Athletics combines a rich history of championship caliber athletic competition, prestigious world-renowned academics, and the beautiful backdrop that is Palo Alto, California. Stanford Athletics boasts an incredible 114 National Championships. The Stanford Football program enjoyed two of its finest seasons in history during the 2010 & 2011 campaigns. Men’s and Women’s Basketball are perennial powers with consistent appearances in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. And this season Stanford Baseball is bringing back a preseason Top 5 team to Sunken Diamond. Sales Intern – Stanford University Athletics (Stanford, CA) The Sales Intern’s primary responsibility is to support the sales staff with various projects and special events. The primary focus of the Intern will be Stanford Football with additional support as needed for Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Baseball. While this position is located on Stanford University campus, you will be employed by The Shakarian Group, a sports sales and marketing company. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, energetic, professional, passionate about sports entertainment, and want to work in sports. This is an unpaid internship. Position Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To: •Assist staff with sales of Stanford Football, Basketball and Baseball season tickets, partial plans, group tickets and special events. Knowledge and Skills: • Possess a friendly and professional telephone manner. Athletics Diversity Council Graduate Assistant - University of Oklahoma (Norman, OK)
The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department invites applications for the Athletics Diversity Council Graduate Assistantship. In an effort to increase diversity within intercollegiate athletics, the Athletics Diversity Council sponsors two opportunities for diverse/minority candidates. The program seeks exceptional leaders who are motivated learners and able thrive under pressure and multi-task. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in intercollegiate athletics to gain vast experience in intercollegiate athletics. The OU ADC GA is a two-year program: year one allows the GA to experience different areas of the department through four eight-week rotations in various areas throughout the department. Year two is spent in one department of the assistants choice to gain more experience in that specific area. Graduate assistantships include a tuition waiver, monthly stipend, and benefits.
