Account Executive - Pac-12 MMR at Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ)

Pac-12 MMR LLC was formed to provide Sales and Service resources to the Pac-12 membership by placing Pac-12 MMR staff on campus to work closely with athletic departments to increase sponsorship, ticket or fundraising revenue. In recent years, the Pac-12 Conference has worked closely with institutions to develop and share best practices throughout the year and on special projects. The creation of Pac-12 MMR is a new endeavor to directly assist in these areas on our campuses.

Pac-12 MMR - Arizona State University Athletics is searching for an experienced Account Executive for corporate sponsorships and who understands revenue generation is the priority and number one goal..   You will be responsible for increasing corporate partnership revenue by selling to area business as well as regional and national companies. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Account Executive will be expected to place outbound cold calls, attending networking events, schedule meetings, go to in-person client meetings, write proposals and close sponsorship deals.
  • Successful candidates will be responsible for:
  • Attending 1-2 networking events per week.
  • Making 40 cold calls per day.
  •  Meeting weekly and monthly goals for cold calls, meetings, and sales.  
  • Working extended hours, attending games and university events
  • Displaying strong relationship skills and have the ability to create and maintain partnerships internally and externally.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and sales experience.
  • Minimum of three years of successful sales experience. 
  • Extensive contact list of of potential sponsorship leads.
  • Knowledge of the Phoenix metro market.
  • Ability to sell in the college space.
  • Passion for sales, and for college athletics.
  • Computer proficient; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail.
  • Desire and drive to exceeded expectations and grow a career on sales and sports.
  • High comfort level in making cold calls and in-person presentations
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain an impeccable professional appearance.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Strong self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and use utmost discretion when privy to sensitive information.
  • Have great decision-making skills.
  • Interest and ability in serving others as one of the primary functions of their job.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and within Athletic Department.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays

Account Executive - Pac-12 Sales - University of Washington (Seattle, WA)

The Account Executive position for Pac-12 Sales offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the Inside Sales Manager, Group & Digital Sales Manager, and others based at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. The Account Executive will have the responsibility of increasing ticket and fundraising revenue by soliciting season tickets, groups, and partial plans. The Account Executive will implement overall ticket sales & service strategies and will prospect new accounts while building and maintaining strong relationships with current contacts. Pac-12 Sales is looking for a candidate who understands revenue generation is the priority and number one goal.

Ideal candidates are highly motivated to join the Pac-12 Sales, Husky Athletics, and the Sales & Experience team. They will be passionate about their work, provide great customer service, and have a passion for athletics. This position will also come with a great deal of exposure to our donors, alumni, and dedicated Husky fans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·       Call sales leads issued by UW Athletics; generate new leads focusing on Football, Men’s Basketball, and other sports as assigned.

·       Preparation of sales materials for meetings and other events.

·       Meet or exceed weekly, monthly and annual sales goals while exceeding client expectations in value and customer services.

·       Maintain records of all prospects and customers within CRM system.

·       Work all designated home games, performing various ticket sales and service duties throughout the game.

·       Contact area businesses and individuals via phone, email, in-person appointments, networking events, and social media to sell season tickets, partial plans, and group tickets.

·       Make 65+ outbound calls and touch points daily.

·       Attend weekly client appointments and networking events.

·       Work closely with Ticket Operations and Development, to achieve sales and prospective goals.

·       Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and sales experience.

·       Minimum one year of ticket sales experience; preferably in a professional team or collegiate sports environment.

·       High comfort level in making cold calls and in-person presentations.

·       Outstanding customer service, interpersonal communication, and decision-making skills.

·       Ability to maintain an impeccable professional appearance.

·       Strong self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
