On July 1, 2009, Larry Scott joined the Pacific-10 Conference as its sixth Commissioner, succeeding Tom Hansen who had been in the role the previous 26 years. Commissioner Scott, who executed a highly successful turnaround of the WTA Tour as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer prior to joining the Pac-10, is seeking to usher the &amp;ldquo;Conference of Champions&amp;rdquo; into a new era defined by innovation and commercial success. The Pac-10 brand aspires to be the leading collegiate athletic conference brand in the United States, and it will do so by establishing itself as the top source of West Coast collegiate athletic entertainment.
To support the ambitious repositioning and growth strategy, Commissioner Scott is looking to make one of the senior hires for his executive team in the role of Vice President of Communications. This individual will serve on Commissioner Scott&amp;rsquo;s executive leadership team, reporting directly to the Commissioner.
Position Summary

					The University of Tennessee Athletics Department, a member of the Southeastern Conference, has two (2) twelve-month positions available July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011. This position is designed to expose the individual to all aspects of a ticket office operation, including learning the Paciolan ticketing system and customer service. Responsibilities include: Management of all ticket office responsibilities for Olympic sports; assisting with game-day management of football and basketball; reconciliation of events; attending meetings and events as assigned by the director of ticket operations. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have excellent customer service and communication skills, and a willingness to work nights and weekends. 

Qualifications: Bachelor&apos;s degree required; previous ticket office and Paciolan experience preferred.

Applications are invited for a tenure track position in the Department of Education, Division of Sport Management at the Assistant Professor level beginning in August 2010.&amp;nbsp; The ability to teach Ticket Sales is required; competency in teaching a variety of undergraduate sport management courses is also necessary.&amp;nbsp; Qualifications include a minimum of five years experience in the ticket sales industry and a background that demonstrates successful management of ticket sales campaigns.&amp;nbsp; The individual will also have the demonstrated ability to run a ticket sales lab/call center.&amp;nbsp; A Doctorate is preferred, Masters Degree is required.&amp;nbsp;The sport management major is an approved program by the Sport Management Program Review Council.
